What I miss the most:

I remember how it used to be. I would go to school, talk to friends, and not worry about a thing. Life was nice before COVID-19 hit. It was suddenly different. I miss a lot of things like school, for example. I know that may sound odd but unlike most people I actually liked school. I love learning new things and being around my friends. Online school is definitely a pain for me since I am used to getting assignments and taking notes in person. I also learn better when the teacher is teaching face to face rather than online. I also miss my friends a lot. Not being able to socialize and hangout all together is a big bummer. It's so nice being part of an amazing friend group. From seeing my friends every lunch to not seeing them that often is a big challenge. I was super lucky to be able to celebrate my big 16th birthday with them the week before school was over. It was the last big party we had before we couldn't see each other anymore. I will say that I am grateful for that. Another thing I really miss is playing ultimate with my friends. Right before school was cancelled I got great news that I made it onto the Sutherland ultimate team. I was really excited to be on a team with a lot of my friends. We unfortunately only had like two practices before there were restrictions on all sports. I was super sad about this because I feel like highschool sports create memories for the future. I was able to do field hockey and basketball this year but it's different with ultimate since it was my first year on the school team. My friends and I always used to meet up to play and practice ultimate and it really sucks to not be able to do that anymore. Luckily I am now allowed to hang out with a few people while socially distancing. I just really hope everything goes back to normal soon.
